“So I might as well do it.”
This is a phrase I have said to myself a lot in the last 2 or so years and it’s one of the reasons I have managed to stay consistent with my training.
There have been many years in the past where I have set a new years resolution to be more consistant with training but when it actually came time to train I would make an excuse and not train at all.
and unsurprisingly all of these years passed anyway, I made the same resolution year after year and I wasn’t making any progress.
I would then look back on the years and think “if I’d trained all these years I would be so far ahead of where I am now”
And that’s when it clicked. I started using this thought everytime I was considering skipping my workout.
“time is going to pass anyway”
and when it does I want to be further ahead than I am now.
